About UsStefanie Tietz was born and raised in Germany and fell in love with horses at the tender age of 9. After much begging and pleading her parents and grandparents got together and signed her up for riding lessons. While her riding education was excellent, Stefanie learned a lot about how she did not want her horses to live when she finally got her own. At the time, stalling horses 24/7 was the norm in Germany and it was tough to watch. In her later teen years, Stefanie rode at a farm that raised Icelandic horses and Norwegian Fjords in the Alps and fell in love with the philosophy of allowing horses to be horses and living outside like nature intended. She follows this philosophy to this day by keeping her horses out in the generously spaced pastures on Paul's Haven Ranch.
In 2019 Stefanie married the like minded Curtis Jones and they set out to make Paul's Haven Ranch a food producing homestead. In addition to chickens, they have now added Katahdin sheep and New Zealand rabbits to produce organic, grass raised meat for their family and friends. |
Our Philosophy
|
We believe that as a society we have removed ourselves too far from nature and are not paying attention enough to where our food comes from. Raising our own food isn't only a fun adventure that brings us joy, but we know our animals are happy, healthy and well treated until they bring us the sustenance we need.

Our History |
Paul's Haven Ranch is a life time dream come true. It is named after Stefanie's Uncle Paul, who left us too soon, but through his generosity made this farm possible. PHR was purchased in September of 2015 and is a work in progress. Stefanie and her parents fell in love with this property, it's vibe and beauty and decided to purchase it despite the burned out house and the challenge that would present. It has become a family adventure! Stefanie's parents are now in the process of building their house on the adjoining 4 acres bringing the entire family together on the farm.
